Dear friend,

Do you find yourself doubting the character of God? Do you wonder how He could love such a sinful world, continuing to forgive and daily reveal His grace? If you but look at the cross of Jesus Christ, you will see God for who he really is. It will answer every question you may have of His faithfulness, character, and desire for you to embrace His great and endless love.

Look to Jesus’ cross and you will see God! It is that simple! The cross itself disproves every doubt of His love for mankind while also eloquently explaining what Christ came to do. You see Jesus could have easily set up an earthly kingdom to reign with worldly power, but He cared more for our souls than His own worldly future. His early death made for our everlasting life.

In Ellen White’s book, Acts of the Apostles she writes, “Christ’s death proves God’s great love for man. It is our pledge to salvation.” When you look to the cross, you’re destined to discover nothing less than the ultimate truth of His wanting of you more than His own priceless life.

“If sinners can be led to give one earnest look at the cross, if they can obtain a full view of the crucified Savior, they will realize the depth of compassion and the sinfulness of sin… Christ’s death proves God’s great love for [you].”

God’s Word to Me:

“Looking unto Jesus, the author, and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2)

My prayer of response:

Father, I will look to You, for You are the author and finisher of my faith. I will remember that Your joy was for my being in Heaven with You. And this is why You suffered so much because my being in Heaven was worth enduring the shame of sin. Thank You, Father, that due to Your great love for me, my life meant more to You than Your own. Amen.

Our Prayer for You:
Dear Father, I lift up those who don’t believe You could truly love them because of their past sins. Thank You, Lord, that You died for us while we were still sinners and that proves that You loved us despite who sin made us be. Let Your faithful followers continually look to the cross in every doubt they may have, that since You are the Author and Finisher of our faith, You have a plan for us to fully understand Your love and character. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
